....hmmmm, we can sew! Yes, we can sew...
OH MY GODDESS! A little while ago to catch up, I visited one of my favorite sewing blogs (yes, I can sew, no, I'm not very good at it, and yes, I love it anyway, just like I play chess :) 10,000 Hours of Sewing. April 17, 2013:
Hello darlings! Well, Spring is here on the calendar but not here in southeastern Wisconsin, not yet! As you can see from the photos above, we had snow on April 14th even as my poor daylilies were peeking through the earth along the warm side of the house. The snow melted later in the day, but GEEZ! Mother Nature is frowning on us for some reason. For the past week and continuing into this week torrential downpours of rain and flooding, lots and lots of flooding, and more high winds. My yard is a disaster area, and it's killing me not to be able to get outdoors and start cleaning up. But the ground is soggy and the temperatures have been way below normal -- it's COLD out there. I'm still wearing my winter coats, even my down jacket with the nice hood a few days. IN MID-APRIL! I have not been in much of a springy mood, but I made an attempt at a spring mantle/mantel, put up a few of my favorite bird prints and added a few accessories. It's "spring-y" enough for moi. For the time being, Queen Elizabeth is on restorative retreat in the country. And now that tax season is over, next week me too -- Las Vegas, baby! DRY AND WARM! Plenty of sunshine. Naps underneath a sunbrella by the pool. Lots of exercising walking up and down the Strip. Shopping shopping shopping! Maybe a show or two. Maybe a spa visit. Ahhhhh, can't wait! I'll probably be posting lots of photos. I love Las Vegas.

I will try to take a better picture of the clock on the wall in the Dining Room for you and add it to my next post on all the Dining Room decorations which will be posted tomorrow... Joe bought it for me in J.C.Penney a few years ago....
Minerva reminds me of the family in Meet Me in St. Louis going to church at Easter..... I do have fun playing with dressing her up....
I am very pleased with the New Pope. He does seem like such a humble and inspirational man and that is what this world needs whether you are Catholic or not.....
